Braces for all Ages!
So I've been saying forever that I wanted to get braces again because I was stupid and stopped wearing my retainers. (well actually my dog kept eating them and I didn't want to shell out any more money to get another one!) Well I should've just paid the money cuz here I am 9 years later and back in braces. Oh yes! As if the first 4 years weren't enough, I'm back in 'em and feeling about 10 years younger!
I work for an Orthodontist and hey, they were free! So why not! So thank you Dr. Griffiths for hooking me up with my new Grill and for not letting me back out at the last minute!

ReplyDeleteI too had braces twice. 5 years the first time, and then 4 years the second time to correct the first Dr's mistakes. UGH! When I got my retainer the second time they told me to keep it out of the reach of my dog. I laughed, and they told me dogs love the smell of them and patients come in a lot needing a new one because of it. Ha ha. Who knew it was really true. Good luck with the braces. I dare you to beat my record of having them for a total of 9 whole years!
ReplyDeleteWhere is OUR picture!!! Oh wait we didn't take one! ha ha. You look good in metal.
ReplyDeleteShayla... it is the cool thing to do right now... I also have them on riht now I got them last february, and i get them off hopefully in 6-8 weeks!! good luck! keep your wax handy!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you worked for an orthodontist!! Me too! I absolutely love it, but you probably already knew that since I work for the dr that did your sisters braces. What do you do for him? Good for you for getting braces. You have the best job to get away with having them on plus they are free so you might as well be doing it!
ReplyDeleteFREE?! Well you can't beat that. I had braces twice too... and probably need them again :( I always felt bad for my parents paying all that money and now my teeth are crooked again. Can't wait to see your pretty straight smile! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, adults can get braces too! I work with my dad as an orthodontic assistant, and rest assured, we put braces on adult women like every other week! By the way, I just loved what you did for your wedding. I think I saw more pics on facebook, but your hair and your flowers and everything were so beautiful! And don't feel bad for not having kids yet (like it said on your blog)... I don't either and there's still lots of us that don't!
